Xeomin® is a botulinum toxin type A product, similar to Botox®, but it's purified to isolate the therapeutic component of the protein molecule and remove accessory proteins. Because the active ingredient is pure, Xeomin® doesn't need to be refrigerated, and some patients say the injection is more comfortable than Botox's cold injection. Xeomin ® injections usually take less than 10 minutes, and results typically last 3 to 4 months, but some people may experience effects for up to 6 months.
